Chilli Gobi Recipe– This is an Indo-Chinese Cuisine. This is also known as cauliflower(gobi) chilli. You can serve this as a starter and it works like an appetizer. Chilli Gobi contains fried Gobi with delicious sauces. The taste of Chilli Gobi is spicy, tangy, salty, and crispy due to its sauce.
Like other Indo-Chinese cuisine, this is also very popular. You can add this recipe to your family and get-together parties. This recipe can make them happy.
Chilli Gobi is one of my favourite recipes like chilli potato. In non-veg, you can try chilli chicken. Most of the Chilli Gobi lovers love this recipe due to the awesome taste of the sauce.
The sauce of Chilli Gobi is prepared by a combination of different types of sauces. Generally, these are tomato sauce, soya sauce, and chilli sauce. Again another ingredient is vinegar which enhances the taste of the sauce.
Chilli Gobi Recipe can be divided into three steps in the first step we have to fry gobies which are crispy and in the second step we have to make delicious sauce and in the third step mix both fried gobi and sauce and then serve immediately. The crispiness of gobi fry is also important like sauce for a perfect chilli gobi recipe. For better results, you shouldn’t keep it for more time after preparation. If you keep chilli gobi for a long time after preparation then the crispiness of the gobi will gone and gobi become soft. So, for better results prepare just before serving.
Preparation Of this recipe is very easy and also takes less time only time taken in the first step i.e preparing gobi fry. The second and third steps take very little time.Â

Ingredients For Chilli Gobi Recipe
Gobi —————–1 no
Capsicum———-1 no
Onion—————–1 no
Corn flour———-1/2 cup
Tomato sauce——2 tbsp
Soya sauce———-1tsp
Chilli sauce———-1 tsp
Chilli powder——–1/2 tsp
Garlic chopped—–1 tsp
Zinger chopped—–1 tsp
Oil for fry
Salt as per your taste
Preparation of Chilli Gobi Recipe
- Cut cauliflower or Gobi into small pieces. Then wash properly with cold water. Keep these pieces in a strainer to drain out all the water from the gobi pieces.
- Cut all the vegetables like green capsicum, and onion into big square sizes.
- chopped green chillies, ginger and garlic.
- Â For better results make black pepper pwd or you can use what is available in the shop.
- Prepare a batter by using cornflour and water. Add a little bit of salt and make a thick paste.
- Sprinkle dry cornflour over the Gobi pieces to soak extra moisture from the Gobi and as a result, gobi pagodas will be very crispy.
Procedure
- Put a kadai or frying pan on the gas.
- Switch on the gas.
- Add oil and turn the gas flame into a medium flame.
- When oil becomes heat then add one batch of gobi pieces into the oil.
- Fry these pieces till light golden colour.
- Like this batch fry all the batches of gobi.
- Now heat the oil on high flame then add all the fried pieces for 1 minute which makes Gobi more crispy.
- Now take out all these pieces from the oil.
- Now put a pan on the gas.
- Then add 1 tbsp oil to the pan.
- Then add garlic chopped and fry for 30 sec.
- Now add chopped ginger, chopped green chillies and fry for another 30 sec.
- Now add onion pieces, and capsicum into the frying pan.
- Now fry onion and capsicum pieces for 1-2 minutes. Don’t fry it for more time keep it a little crunchy.
- Now add tomato sauce, soya sauce, chilli sauce and mix very well.
- Now add 1 tsp of vinegar.
- Add Previously prepared batter.
- Now add 1/4th of a cup of water.
- Add salt as per the test. Keep in mind that sauces have already salt. So add a little bit less salt.
- Now cook for a few minutes or till gravy becomes like a sauce consistency.
- Now add all the fried Gobi pieces and mix well in the sauce.
- Now Gobi chilli is complete.
- Now is the time for a dish out of Chilli Gobi.
- Serve immediately.
Now Chilli Gobi is ready to serve. Serve this chilli gobi recipe as a side recipe of jeera rice, plain rice, chowmein and another main course recipe. You can also serve this as a starter which works like an appetizer.Â
You should prepare Chilli Gobi just before serving because Gobi Fried becomes soft if it is kept for a long time with sauce which is not very good in taste.

Tips and tricks to make the best chilli gobi Recipe
- Size of the gobi(cauliflower) florets matters – Don’t chop or don’t cut gobi into large pieces cut it into medium-small pieces.Â
- Deep frying – You have to deep fry these gobi pieces. you don’t choose alternative baking or air frying which will not give the crispiness of cauliflower or gobi.
