The nutritional value of single whole wheat aloo paratha contains 154 calories.

Wheat flour 1 cup
Salt according to taste.
Water as per the requirement to make dough.
Desi ghee for paratha making.
Ingredients for stuffing
Boiled Potatoes(peeled) —2 no
Onion(chopped)—————-1 no
Green chili ———————–2 no
Cumin Powder——————1/2 tsp
Corriander pwd —————-1/3 tsp
Chat masala pwd—————1/2 tsp
Garam masala pwd ———–One pinch
Amchur pwd———————-1/3rd tsp
Carom seeds ——————-1/3rd tsp
Salt according to taste
Coriander leaves (chopped)
A little amount of dry wheat
Procedure For Aloo Paratha
- Take a big-size mixing bowl.
- Add wheat flour into the bowl.
- Add a pinch of salt.
- Add a little amount of water gradually and knead it.
- If required then add a little more water again and knead into a soft dough like roti/chapati dough.
- Cover and keep this dough for 10 minutes rest for the best result.
- After 10 minutes again knead for 1 minute.
- Now make medium size balls a little bigger than roti from this dough.
How to make stuffing
- Take a mixing bowl.
- Then keep 2 boiled potatoes in the bowl. It shouldn’t mash finely. For better results, you can grate all the boiled potatoes. The grating structure of potatoes will be equal and not be finely mashed.
- Now add some finely chopped 2 onions, chopped 2 green chilies, sprinkle black pepper powder, and 1/3rd tsp carom seeds.
- Then add 1/3 tsp coriander powder, 1/2 tsp cumin powder,1/2tsp chat masala powder, and 1/4th tsp garam masala pwd into mash potatoes.
- Add salt into the stuffing according to your taste.
- If you are a more spicy lover then add red chili powder. This is optional if you don’t want you can skip this red chili powder.
- If you are making this recipe for small children then you can also avoid green chilies.
- Then add 1 tbsp of dry wheat flour into the stuffing which absorve moisture from the potato stuffing.
- Then clean your hand and mix this stuffing in hand and make a stuffing ball.
- This stuffing ball makes small balls that are equal to the dough ball’s size and number.
How to make aloo paratha
- Now take one dough ball and try to make small roti in your hand by pressing in hand.
- Then put stuffing balls in the center of the roti and bring all the sides together into the center.
- Now seal the stuffing by holding all the sides together and make a ball-like structure in your hand.
- Like this make all balls.
- Now sprinkle wheat flour on the rolling board and try to make circular paratha by pressing very lightly with a help of your hand. Be careful stuffing shouldn’t come out.
- When it becomes a small roti then roll with a rolling pin.
- Now put this paratha in a preheated griddle.
- Now lightly roast from both sides then spread desi ghee or oil on both sides of paratha in medium flame.
- When the paratha is becoming lightly reddish in color on one side now flip the parathas.
- Now also cook this side till slightly reddish patches appear over parathas.
- Now paratha is completely prepared.
- Serve this aloo paratha with fresh curd.

You are a beginner or an experienced person I don’t know but you can apply these tips and tricks to get the best result. Sometimes when we put the stuffing and roll the parathas we face problems due to the softness of the potatoes. So, apply these tips and tricks.
- Add 1 tsp of dry wheat flour into the stuffing to soak moisture.
- Grate the boiled potatoes to get a good structure of potatoes in the stuffing. If you want to mash in your hand then don’t mash very finely.
- Press lightly and also carefully when you roll parathas otherwise stuffing will come out.
