Chicken————————–500 grams
Onion—————————–3 nos
Garlic—————————–10 cloves
Ginger—————————-small piece
Bay leaf————————–1 no
Turmeric pwd—————–2 tsp
Cumin pwd———————1 tsp
Coriander pwd—————-1 tsp
Chilli pwd————————1 tsp
Kashmir chili pwd———–1 tsp
Garam masala pwd———1/2 tsp
Whole cumin——————-1/2 tsp
Whole cardamom————2 no
Whole cinnamon————–Small piece
Tomato—————————-2 no for puree
Coriander leaves

 

Marination  of  chicken 

  1. Wash properly chicken with water.  
  2. Now add 2tsp (onion, garlic, ginger) paste and mix well and then leave for 15 Min for marination.

The last one takes less time than the first one. This method is extremely useful once. You can prepare this easy recipe of chicken curry in less time. This easy chicken curry recipe is beneficial for office-going guys, bachelor, busy schedule moms, and other busy schedule people.

Ingredients are the same for method 1 and method 2 and the marination of chicken is the same for method 1 and method 2 but the procedure of cooking is different.

Method 1  Easy Chicken Curry Recipe In Pan

     Preparation

  1. Now put a pan into gas. Add 3 to 4 tsp of oil into the pan.
  2. Add 1/2 tsp cumin seeds into oil when the cumin becomes brown in color then add 1 bay leaf, 2 cardamoms small piece of cinnamon into the pan.
  3.  Add 1/3rd teaspoon of sugar into the oil and wait. When sugar melts and turns brown then add 1 onion(cubes)  into the pan and stir it.
  4. When onions turn into golden brown color then add 1 tsp of Kashmir chili pwd into the pan for eye-catching color.
  5. Then add onion, ginger, garlic paste into the pan and stir very well.
  6. Then add turmeric powder, cumin powder, coriander powder, chili powder, and stir very well.
  7. Then add tomato puree into the pan then stair very well.
  8. After 2 to 3 minutes spicy aroma comes then add the raw chicken into the pan and stir well.
  9. After 2 minutes add salt according to your taste.
  10.  Add 3 cups of water and mix well then cover the pan with a lid. Leave it for 15 minutes.
  11. Then after 15 minutes open the lid and check the chicken pieces if the spatula or knife cut the pieces easily then you confirm that the chicken is cooked otherwise cook for another few minutes or till the chicken is cooked.
  12. Now add garam masala powder into the chicken curry. 
  13. Then add chopped coriander leaves over the curry. 
  14. Now chicken curry recipe is completed.
  15. Now serve this chicken curry.

Method  2: Easy Chicken  Curry Recipe In Pressure Cooker 


If you want to cook this chicken curry recipe easily and quickly you cook this curry in the pressure cooker.

 

    Preparation

  1. Switch on the gas and put a cooker on the gas and leave it for hot.
  2. When the cooker becomes hot then add oil 3-4 tsp into the cooker.
  3. Add 1/3rd teaspoon of sugar into the oil and wait. 
  4. When sugar melts and turns brown then add 1 onion(cubes)  into the cooker and stir it.
  5. Add 1/2 tsp cumin seeds into oil when the cumin is turn into brown color then
  6.  Add 1 bay leaf, 2 cardamoms, a small piece of cinnamon into the cooker. 
  7. When onions turn to golden brown color then add 1 tsp of kashmir chili powder into the cooker for eye-catching color.
  8. Then add onion, ginger, garlic paste into the cooker and stir very well.
  9. Then add turmeric powder, cumin powder, coriander powder, chili powder into the cooker and stir very well.
  10. Then add tomato puree and stair very well.
  11. After 2/3 minutes a spicy aroma comes then add the raw chicken into the cooker and mix well.
  12. After 2 minutes add salt according to your taste.
  13.  Add 3 cups of water into the curry and mix well then cover the cooker with a lid. Leave it to cook on a high flame. 
  14. After 2nd number whistle comes turn the gas flame into low. 
  15. When 3rd number whistle comes in low flame then switch off the gas.
  16. Now open the lid and check the meat if it is cooked then add garam masal pwd into chicken curry if the chicken is not cooked then cook for another whistle.
  17. In the end, add chopped coriander leaves over the curry. Now Easy recipe for chicken curry is completed.
  18. Now serve this chicken curry.

Note

  • More whistles may make your chicken curry overcook, so be careful about that.
  • The consistency of chicken gravy depends on water. You can adjust the consistency of the chicken gravy by adding less or more water, so be careful when adding water.

Q. Why my chicken curry recipe is not seeing eye-catching color?

 
Ans: Some people are used artificial food color for the eye-catching color of chicken curry but I am not in favor of color. I always avoid color in food. Always I use Kashmir chili powder for coloring chicken curry. Generally, Kashmir chili powder is not spicy in taste but eye-catching in color. You can use Kashmir chili powder for attractive chicken curry. 
 
Q. Why my gravy becomes very thin? 
 
Ans: Gravy totally depends on water. If you add more water then gravy becomes thin. So, you first add a little amount of water to chicken curry if required then add more water. 
 
Q. Why my chicken curry becomes overcooked?

 

Ans: If you are cooking in a pressure cooker then you have to cook carefully about the whistle. You have to turn your gas switch from high to low flame after 2nd no whistle. Then wait for the third no whistle in low flame. Then turn off the switch and open the lid without wasting time.
